Born in Haute-Savoie, Charles caught the “ski virus” when he was 3 years old. Since then, not a winter goes by without the young man putting on his skis. When he was on the ski racing circuit, he always had a deep respect for his coaches and instructors, so that's why Charles was brought to become an instructor in Avoriaz. Charles first taught winter sports in other resorts before joining esf Avoriaz in 2015. For him, esf is the oldest institution that exists in France, it greatly deserves its renown thanks to its dedicated instructors. Charles' teaching approach is based mainly on safety, trust and communication. His best teaching memories include a week spent with a group of Malaysian beginners, freestyle courses with very talented teenagers and off-piste descents. 

When he is not skiing down the slopes with his students, Charles takes care of forest paths in the mountains. He also enjoys hiking, paragliding, wakeboarding, playing tennis but he’s also a big fan of music!

For this instructor who’s often skied in Switzerland, New-Zealand and Italy, his favourite slopes in Avoriaz are Les Crozats and the Arare sector.
