Originally from Morzine, Christophe started to teach back in 1986. Even though it has been many many years since his debuts, the passion remains the same.
About
Christophe learnt how to ski at 4 years old. Avoriaz is very important to him and his family, during his childhood, he used to ski there almost every weekend with his parents and siblings. When he started, the equipment and the infrastructures weren’t as good as they are now and skiing would be a bit more difficult than nowadays. Since then, the resorts have evolved and so did the teaching methods. Concerning his pedagogical approach, he focuses on building a relationship based on trust so that students can improve their techniques. The ESF is a token of passion and serious training.
Outside his life in the resort, he works as a mason, this prevents him from getting bored too fast. Christophe has many other passions that include photography, traveling, mountain biking and walking. He also enjoyed paragliding and diving for a bit.
As for his best teaching memory, he remembers going to ski in the Vallée Blanche with a few students. Though, each day are unique and each person brings something new to the table. His favorite slope is the Jean Vuarnet.
