Jean-Michel first put on his skis at 11 years old because of a disease that prevented him from skiing earlier. As soon as he began, he could already feel himself starting to fall in love with this practice thanks to the beauty of the mountain and the sensations of being alone in the wilderness. Later, he joined the ski club of Villard de Lans and was often rewarded for his skills. To honor his passion and transmit his knowledge, he prepared his instructor diploma and began his career 52 years ago. Since then, he’s always tried his best to make his lessons fun so that people can enjoy this sport. 

For him, Avoriaz is the most beautiful resort of France that is why he started to work in the Club Med in 1979. Furthermore, the ESF instills rigor in its instructors and students. Outside of the slopes, Jean-Michel works as a diving instructor. He is someone who enjoys sliding on all kinds of surfaces since he also goes windsurfing and water skiing.
