Born in the resort, the resort of Avoriaz has been his playground for over thirty years. Indeed, Laurent started to ski at 3 and competed up until 16. When he stopped competing, he switched to a more varied practice.
To instill the skiing skills to his students, Laurent does his best to make them feel comfortable and safe. Furthermore, he tries to make his lesson fun while he explains the techniques and how to move around in such an area. For him, the ESF represents sharing, security, serious training and pleasure. He also works as a mountain guide on long tours. His passions include photography, paddling, trailing and traveling.
From his two ski raids in Switzerland and Italy, he remembers that skiing can extremely diverse depending on the country but the pleasure stays the same.
What he retains from his long years of instructorship are teaching in Chile, becoming friends with students, taking people to the most beautiful summits of the resort and people’s smiles when they discover something.
His favorite slopes are the Crozats and the Crête d’Arare.
