Marine is a ski instructor who knows the resort and its skiing area like the back of her hand.

About
Born in the valley of Morzine-Avoriaz, Marine discovered the slopes and winter sports at only 3 years old thanks to the help of her dad who works as a ski patroller in Avoriaz. Skiing quickly began a passion that then led her to join the Avoriaz ski club. There, she competed in alpine ski races and even went ‘til the International Ski Federation level. In 2006, she was named France champion in Super G. Even though she visited other resorts during her competition years, Marine was far too attached to Avoriaz to teach anywhere else. That is how she decided to become a ski instructor 10 years ago to be able to share her love for the mountain and winter sports.

Marine prides herself on her pedagogical approach, indeed, she is really attentive to her students’ needs and is able to identify and understand their difficulties. This approach makes it possible for students to get a personalized teaching. For her, working at the ESF is like being part of a very big family where conviviality, sharing and surpassing oneself prevail. Her best teaching memories correspond to the moments where she was lucky enough to introduce people to new practices or landscapes when most of them though they would not be able to do so. Her clients’ happiness is what makes it all worth it.

In addition to instructorship, Marine is also a physical trainer specialised in physiotherapy and fasciology. Those two occupations are complementary and allow her to never get bored. Furthermore, she also admits loving trail running and swimming. If you’re curious, Marine skied in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Andorra, she’ll be pleased to tell you all about it if you ask.

Her favorite slope is the Combette.
