Passionate about skiing since her earliest age, Sophie has been sharing her knowledge with joy and good humour since 1992!
About
Originally from Morzine, Sophie discovered the joys of winter sports at 4 years old thanks to esf Avoriaz ski lessons as well as the precious recommendations of her father who is an instructor, too. Seduced by the versatility of this sport, she then enrolled in the ski club and participated in ski competitions allowing her to perfect her skills. Being able to teach ski, just like her father, was something important to her. Moreover, being an esf Avoriaz instructor is an honor since the school conveys significant values such as professionalism and sharing. Sophie’s pedagogy is based on her students experiencing the ski sensations before she explains the technique. Her best teaching memory is a lesson at the children’s garden.
Outside her profession of instructor, Sophie works as a primary school teacher. She also enjoys playing the saxophone and is learning to play the accordion.
Her favourite slope in Avoriaz is the Crête d’Arare for the off-piste sensations and the view.
